Here is a selection of accessible books I've found useful during my studies and my practice.

A Practical Guide to methods of homeopathic prescribing – Ellen Kramer.

Ellen was my teacher and is the Director of the College of Practical Homeopathy (CPH). She has been an inspiration and is a leading light for many aspiring homeopaths. She is a straight talking, no messing, bold homeopath who believes firmly in bringing homeopathic prescribing into the 21st century to tackle 21st century ailments. Her guide simplifies the process, provides a range of methods and applies her mantra for healing:

look for the cause - examine the effects - remove the obstacles to cure.

Drug Muggers

Many modern day complaints can be traced back to, or are exacerbated by, the effects of medication and/or the essential vitamins and minerals that are depleted when taking them. Drug muggers examines the benefits of vitamins and minerals and what happens when we run too low on them and which drugs are associated with depleting which minerals. The author is a pharmacist and this book has been really helpful when establishing what is going on with a patient's case: finding the cause, the effect and the obstacle to cure.

500 of the most important health tips you’ll ever need – Hazel Courteney

This is a handy guide book for offering a range of alternatives as well as some useful info on common ailments. It provides tips for a range of diet, herbal, homeopathic and supplementary alternatives to conventional medication.

The following books are about End of Life care, care for the elderly and dealing with grief. All beautifully written. The bottom two were written by Felicity Warner, founder of , who offers end of life care from a more holistic approach while the middle book was written by the 'Call the Midwife' author so if you love her style and the TV show you'll find this to be equally as touching and thought provoking.
